Bridge Marina believes safety first, last and always. Our members have access to personal, on-water training on each boat in our fleet to assure they are safe and comfortable boaters.
Most boaters don't have access to quality boater safety training and education, but our members do. Each member completes approximately four to six hours of hands-on training on our fleet of boats. And, our boats are reviewed before and after each boat trip to assure they have all safety equipment accessible and that the crafts are safe and running properly. Members can be assured that they are safe and sound every time they go out on the Lake.
Boat License Requirements: In New Jersey, if you wish to operate a motorized vessel, including a personal watercraft, you must have a Boating Safety Certificate and ‘boat’ endorsement on the New Jersey Driver’s license. Bridge Marina is certified to provide you a temporary certificate for short term use of the Boating Club in order to safely get you on the water as soon as possible; however, for long term use you will require your permanent Boater Safety Certificate and obtain proper ‘Boat’ endorsement on your New Jersey Driver’s License.
Getting your Boat License: A new and convenient method to obtain your Boater Certificate is through an online course called the Boat Ed New Jersey online boating course at www.boat-ed.com/NewJersey. Upon completion of the certified online course, the online portion will direct you to local testing facilities where you must take your final test; thereafter you will be provided a Boater Safety Certificate. You will then take the Boater Safety Certificate to your local DMV and request your ‘Boat’ endorsement on your NJ driver’s license, after which you are fully licensed to drive a vessel or PWC on any New Jersey waters (and most waters in other states where boat license is required).
